I'm a postdoc at the Centro de Ciencias Matemáticas, part of the Universidad Nacional Autónoma de México (UNAM) in Morelia, Michoacán. I completed my PhD in mathematics at the University of Pennsylvania and Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in 2022, and received a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Computer Science at Tufts University in 2015.
My research is in geometric group theory and low-dimensional topology. Most recently I have been studying big mapping class groups.
Often when I look at a fellow mathematician's website it's because I'm trying to guess how old they are or where they're from. In case I'm not the only one, I was born in 1993 and spent my childhood in Jersey City, New Jersey.
